I scrambled up the rock to Maya.
"Summer, finally!" We said simultaneously.
"Okay, first day of not-school, what should we do?" Maya asked.
"We should go into town, and visit the shops!" I said, Maya heartily agreed.
"I'll go tell my mum we're going out!" Maya said, and I did the same, running back towards my house.
"Mum, can Maya and I go into town, and visit the shops?" I asked.
My mum, who was packing a lunch for dad when he went out fishing. "I suppose so, just as long as you get back by lunch!" She said.
"Ok, thanks mum!"
