Amira - a harsh, rocky country, with few cities, but the cities it does have are large, and most of the smaller ones are over-populated
Description: 'Rocky mountains and valleys littered with boulders is the general view you get when you look out a window in Amira.'


Ironhollow -  the capital city of Amira, sectioned into five Branches (see Ironhollow 1 for more info), it's main exports are rock and stone, and conveniently located near the strait leading to the neighboring island and trade partner, Norshire.
Description: 'Elevated train tracks led directly to the heart of the city, crossing over the Business and Construction Branches. Dust rose from the streets of the slums, swirling through the streets. Brick buildings were huddled together like crowds, unlike in the High Branch, where buildings were spread between parks and lakes.'


Westerdale - Arden and Paisley's hometown, is small and surrounded by pine trees and low rocky hills.
Description: 'Small stone houses lined up along a dusty street. A few people walked from house to house. Everyone knew each other; the village was too small to not know anyone. Ragged fruit trees struggled to grow in the thin sandy soil. A strong, cold wind blew over the snow-capped mountains, coming with it the threat of winter.'

Description: 'Lush gardens and mazes surrounded the large country manor, and flower-lined, gravel paths led to the stables and barracks of Prescott's large private army.'
