I was overjoyed to have my best friend back, but I knew only a few of the distance-causing issues had been worked out.
And once I got home, I stayed clear of Ashelyn. I could tell she wanted nothing to do with me, but I knew I had to talk to her somehow.
The problem was, I didn't know what to say. Maybe it was just my pride thinking, but I couldn't come up with why I needed to say sorry.
What she probably wanted was an apology from Brynn, but I didn't know how Brynn would take that. I mean, would I text her like, '"Hey, come and apologize to my cousin, who thinks you're horrible but is being a total jerk."' ?
Yeah right...
